hardwell - smoke / voyage
RELEASE DATE: 1st June 2010 (Beatport & Toolroom website exclusive)
CAT NO: LONS039
Fast rising talent Hardwell lands his debut release on Leaders Of The New School with two big room house anthems in ‘Smoke / Voyage’. Hardwell has crafted himself a unique and refreshing sound that’s gained him recognition through remixing the likes of Fedde le Grand, Sharam and Tiesto. No stranger to playing the biggest parties, with the main stage at Dance Valley and numerous huge releases under his belt, Hardwell shows us why he is set to continue his devastating assault on the unsuspecting dance-floors.
‘Smoke’ is a fresh slab of blissful, progressive house. Brazen beats and a warm bass chug their way towards a breakdown that unleashes an electrifying hook before crashing back down into a darker, moodier moment.
‘Voyage’ cranks up the energy with a short intro before crashing head first into a teaser of the main riff. Techy beats and slick percussion then builds towards the monsterous breakdown where huge synths and an epic melody fill the speakers for a true hands-in-the-air moment. A definite main room monster.
This is a great debut on Leaders Of The New School that takes Hardwell’s storming sound onto the next level.

Hardwell has developed a unique sound over the years which resulted in moving away from the original concept when Eclectic Beatz started off. A logical consequence is to start a new chapter…
