eclectic beatz 9 - in stores now!

Friday, September 11, 2009

On September 11, Cloud 9 Dance will release the 9th edition of Eclectic Beatz, mixed and compiled by Hardwell. Despite his loaded schedule and the many remix request coming in, the 21-year old Dutch DJ delivers another outstanding mix album.

Hardwell is undoubtedly one of the most successful house producer/DJ's of the 'new' generation. His exceptional technical skills, the variety of his sound and that added personal touch, make him one of the most beloved and requested DJ's in Holland. But this young talent is also on his way to conquer the rest of the world. Last March, he played in the hot town of Miami 8 times in a row, to rock the crowds in Portugal, Spain, Greece, Italy and of course all major festivals in Holland in the following summer. One of the highlights was his set at Dance Valley, where he worked the Mainstage crowd with his contagious sound. To top all that, his 'Twilight Zone' was the official theme song to that same Dance Valley edition. But his 'Display' and remixes for grand masters like Tiesto, Fedde le Grand, Bob Sinclar and Funkerman were also making waves across the scene, supported by the big jocks. After a busy summer, new hit single 'Feel So High', featuring the vocals of I-Fan, gets a release at the end of September.

But all this couldn't stop Hardwell from making a successor to his previous Eclectic Beatz albums, collect the grooviest tracks and mixing them up tightly. This 9th Volume is yet another mixture of phat house, cracking electro, surprising mash- ups and smooth transitions.

Eclectic Beatz Volume 9 - Mixed by Hardwell will be in stores September 11th.

hardwell presents: display/storage

Thursday, June 11, 2009

HARDWELL TAKES HIS GOODS OUT OF 'STORAGE' AND PUTS THEM ON 'DISPLAY'

When you're touted by some of the world's biggest DJ's as the best thing since sliced bread, you've got a lot to live up to. If you're 21, even more so! If your name is Hardwell then that's no problem whatsoever! Having already served up some of the best music of 2008, this young star is setting a serious high level of standard for 2009.

'Display/Storage' is the debut double A-side release on brand new label Blackbird, sister label to Flamingo Recordings. An exciting, well-produced monster, 'Display' sees flaring hats, a chunky bass line and storming build-up make this record one to watch as we steadily ease our way into summer. More than just 'backing it up', 'Storage' sees crescendos of blips and bleeps jack around a grooving bassline and should have you clamouring for more of the same.

The brainchild of Hardwell, who sits firmly in the label's A&R driving seat, Blackbird will be the playground where all future Hardwell, F.L.G., F-Man and other such musical wizardry will be released. With less attention paid to vocals than Flamingo, the new imprint will serve up the kind of material that the world just can't seem to get enough of.

Fresh-faced from the success of his most recent release 'Blue Magic' (on Chris Lake's Rising Music imprint); Hardwell really has hit the ground running with this double release and looks set to skip his way towards to another big hit.

With remixes lined up for Bob Sinclar, Fedde Le Grand, Marco V & Sander Van Doorn – there is one thing we can say for sure – the future looks very bright for young Hardwell.

Display/Storage is released on Blackbird, digital only! Release Date: June 15th 2009 Beatport Only! June 29th 2009 Available at All Other Portals. Check www.flamingorecordings.com for further details.

hardwell delivers a massive remix for fedde le grand

Monday, May 11, 2009

"Scared of Me" is one of two lead singles from Le Grand's upcoming debut artist album, and after one listen, it is clear to see why the track was chosen to open proceedings. This is a pumping, sexy and typical Fedde le Grand dance-floor masterpiece that comes furnished with amazing vocals of Mitch Crown.

When it came to handing out remixing duties, offers came from far and wide, and the decision process a lengthy one. At the end of the decision process it was about who could compliment Fedde's original, which meant the job went to fledgling producer Hardwell. This young Dutchman who proved his worth when remixing Funkerman's Remember delivers a top-notch edition to this first class extract from Output.

Scared of Me sees a simultaneous release across 64 countries spanning 40 territories as of May 18th, breaking world records as it does so.
